Indian Pacemaker Companies: Shree Pacetronix and MediVed

Shree Pacetronix Ltd., was founded in Pithampur, Dist. Dhar, India in 1988.  In 1993 the company was converted to a Public Limited Company. The company is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and regional exchanges.

Pacetronix’s website shows EC type certificates for its Pinnacle SSIR (model 297), Pinnacle SSI (model 8820), Charak DDD (model ND 747), and Akash VDD (model ND 244) pacemakers.

MediVed Stellar SSI pacemakerA more recent entry into the Indian pacemaker industry is MediVed, founded by Mr. Dinesh Puri in Bangalore.

MediVed has been producing pacemakers designed by CCC Medical in its well-appointed 20,000 Sq. ft., ISO13485-compliant facility in one of Bangalore’s prime electronics technology parks.

MediVed is now offering OEM services for implantable manufacturers interested in taking advantage of India’s low labor costs.
