EndoStim’s LES System Approved in Argentina for GERD Treatment

EndoStim announced that Argentina’s National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) approved its Lower Esophageal Sphincter (LES) Stimulation System for Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). EndoStim is currently available in Europe, Asia and several other countries in Latin America such as Chile and Colombia.

EndoStim Implantable Stimulator for Treatment of Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

St. Louis, MO startup EndoStim is developing an implantable stimulator to treat gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) by delivering stimulation to the lower esophageal sphincter.  The IPG is connected to an EndoStim implantable bipolar lead with electrodes that are stitched and secured into the lower esophageal sphincter muscle during laparoscopy.
