ONWARD Medical announced on November 3 that its investigational ARC-IM spinal cord stimulation system has been used for the first time in its bladder-control development program. The ReeVoid feasibility study at CHUV in Lausanne, Switzerland, will assess safety and preliminary effectiveness for bladder emptying and urinary continence after spinal cord injury. The study receives support from the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation.
The same update reports the first subacute spinal cord injury implant in the EIGER mobility study, which includes people injured within six weeks of enrollment. Together, these milestones extend ARC-IM development across functional targets and stages of injury.
